Breaking Bad is close to perfect television. The character development, writing, acting, and long-term storytelling are all operating at an elite level. Bryan Cranston’s transformation as Walter White is one of the greatest performances in TV history, and Aaron Paul gives the series its emotional core. Every season builds with purpose, and the payoff is incredibly satisfying. It is dark, intense, and uncomfortable at times, but that is exactly what makes it so powerful. This is a masterpiece-level series and one of the best shows ever made.
