Masters of the Universe is an entertaining enough fantasy adventure, but it never quite reaches the epic heights it seems to be aiming for. The visuals and action sequences are solid, and longtime fans will appreciate seeing these characters brought back to life. However, the story feels fairly generic, and several characters aren’t given enough depth to stand out. It’s a decent popcorn movie that works best when viewed as light entertainment rather than a franchise-defining event.
