State of Grace is an underrated crime drama that often gets overshadowed by the mob classics released around the same time. The performances are excellent—particularly Gary Oldman and Ed Harris—bringing intensity and authenticity to every scene. While the pacing is occasionally deliberate and the story follows some familiar undercover-cop territory, the emotional weight and strong acting keep it engaging throughout. It may not reach the heights of Goodfellas or The Godfather, but it's a very solid gangster film that's well worth discovering.
