The Untouchables tells the story of Eliot Ness, a determined and principled Prohibition agent tasked with bringing down one of the most powerful and untouchable crime bosses in America—Al Capone. Set in 1930s Chicago, the film paints a city completely controlled by corruption, where law enforcement, politicians, and the streets themselves all seem to bend to Capone’s will. From the start, it’s clear that this isn’t going to be a traditional “good vs. evil” takedown. Ness isn’t just fighting Capone—he’s fighting an entire system that protects him.
Released in 1987 · Crime, History, Thriller · 119 min.

Why Watch
Watch The Untouchables for its perfect mix of gangster tension, sharp performances, and old-school Hollywood style. Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro make it gripping, but it’s the swagger, score, and iconic set pieces that make it such a fun, endlessly rewatchable crime classic.
