King of New York isn't your typical gangster movie. Christopher Walken commands every scene with a performance that's both charismatic and unsettling, making Frank White a fascinating character to watch. The story can feel uneven at times, and the film occasionally prioritizes mood over narrative clarity, but its gritty atmosphere and strong cast make it stand out from many crime dramas of its era. It's stylish, violent, and memorable in ways that linger long after it ends.
